I Wanna Be Like T
A short time ago, I posted about my baby cousin T who was dealing with a recurrence of HLH. T needed a bone marrow transplant and we were very concerned due to a lack of donors available to members of underrepresented groups. By the grace of God, I am so happy to report that T has a donor 
He entered the hospital yesterday to begin the process. His procedure will take place on Dec. 8th. T began chemotherapy today. I just talked to him (short conversation because he’s playing the PS3) and there is certainly a lesson to be learned from children like T. I’ve never heard T complain. I’ve never seen him treat anyone negatively because of his own conditions. If only we as adults could do the same. That said, I will make sure that my family continues to work towards increasing the numbers of Black donors. Someone allowed God to use them to help T and we need to do our part to do the same.
